He is survived by: his wife Norma Potter; his stepdaughters, Nawana Thomas (Steve) of Thomasville and Hope Proffitt (Charles) of Gainesville, Virginia; his grandchildren, Connor, Chase Proffitt and Lydia Matney; his sons, Tim Potter (Tammy) and Jon Potter; his granddaughters, Megan, Alyssa and Emilee; his great grandchild Tim Potter; and his close friends, Tom, Ann Keene, Doris Bird and Alice Grisby.
