He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Luther Harris and Virgie A. Thompson Harris; his wife Betty "Betsy" Harris; his brother Joseph (Brian Harris); his daughter Virgie Harris; and his siblings, Ardell, Roscoe Harris, Rosa, Vicie Harris, Gladys Harris, Myrtle Motley and Arietta Harris.
He is survived by: his children, Henry Lewis Harris, Jr. of Chesapeake, VA, Sammy Harris of Bluefield, WV, Stanley Gregory Harris of Tazewell, VA, Cindy Bradley Harris (Richard) of Mudfork, VA and Helen Lorita Harris of Tip Top, VA; his sisters, Linda Hamilton (David) of Wyndmoor, PA, Carol Spencer of Charleston, WV and Katherine Frincher; and his close friends, Herbert "Stanley" Sparks and Richard Harris.
