He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dean and Ida Dean. He is survived by: his wife Iva Gray Dean; his children, Fred R. Dean (Kathie) of Willis, VA, Emily Ross (Garry) of Radford, VA and Steve Dean (Cheryl) of Acworth, GA; his grandchildren, Zachary Dean of Blacksburg, VA, John Phillip Dean and Gracie Dean of Acworth, GA; and his sister-in-law Martha Ann Dean.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to a charity of choice.
