He is survived by: his siblings, Bill, Frank Sawyers, Elizabeth Davis, Marie Casey and Jacqueline Myers; his children, Gail Sawyers Steele and Jeffrey Sawyers; his grandsons, Justin Sawyers and Adam Steele; his great grandchildren, Silas Steele and Atticus Steele; and his sister Mary "Mickey" Zachary.
The family kindly requests that in Eddie's honor, charitable donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
