He was predeceased by: his parents, James Yates and Mildred Yates. He is survived by: his wife Sue Yates; his daughters, Courtney Yates-Reynolds (Raymond VanDyke) and Kelsey Yates; his grandchildren, Adilyn, Aubrey, Amelia Reynolds, Logan and Layla VanDyke; and his siblings, Jack Yates, Larry Yates and Patty Mayes.
