It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Lee Hughes of Tazewell, Virginia, born in Beckley, West Virginia, who passed away on November 3, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ernest and Mary Sue Sessler Hughes; and his siblings, Susan Hughes Powell and James Patrick Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Donna Hughes; his son Aaron Hughes (Amanda); his granddaughters, Abagail Hughes and Aubree Hughes; his brothers, Robert Hughes (Elsie), Michael Hughes (Tammy) and Lewis Hughes; and his siblings-in-law, Patty and Darrell Painter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
