She was predeceased by: her parents, Russel L Owens Sr. and Eunice Carter Owens; her husband John Gilbert Lankford; and her siblings, Ann Louise Owens Coghill (Stanley), Barbara Owens and Russel L. Owens Jr..
She is survived by: her children, J. Kevin Lankford (Stephanie), Karen Thomas and Jim; her grandsons, Justin Lankford and Jason Lankford; her sister Linda Johnson (Wayne); and her sister-in-law Renee Owens. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Marks-Bristow Funeral Home (206 N Church Ln, Tappahannock, VA 22560). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Howertons Baptist Church (3875 Essex Mill Rd, Dunnsville, VA 22454). A burial will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Howertons Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or Tappahannock Tides Baseball Team.
