She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Johnson and Eva Mae Johnson; her son Jessie Brown; her grandson Kelvin Maddox; and her siblings, Richard Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Raymond Johnson and Carolyn Barlow.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Brown, Terry Hill (Glenn), Tina Brown (Shirley) and Roosevelt; her daughter-in-law Yvette Brown; and her brothers, James Hutchinson and Roosevelt Johnson. She is also survived by her sister Rev. Kay Word (Phil); twelve grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.
