He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Taylor Davis; his parents, Joseph Davis and Lucy Davis; and his siblings, Elwood Joe Lee, Richard Lee Davis and Woodford B. Davis.
He is survived by: his son John William Davis Jr.; and his half-brother James Beazley of Dunbrooke.
