She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Dorothy Towsey Brooks (Dot) and William Wesley Brooks (WW); her husband Temple "Pete" Minor Carneal; her sisters, Jean Brooks Watkins and Brenda Brooks Smith (Bill) of Mechanicsville; her children, Dianna L. Carneal, Temple M. Carneal, Jr. (Sue), Rebecca E. Morris (Becky) of Tappahannock and Debra J. Carneal (Debbie) of Mechanicsville; and her grandchildren, Nancy H. Gates (Ray), Russell "Pete" C. Hammack IV, William E. Hammack (Kara), Angel S. Jett (Wayne), Leianna Gladden (Patrick), Temple M. Carneal (Trey), Shannon C. Tignor (Jamie), Megan E. Morris (Jermaine), Bobby W. Morris Jr. (BJ) and Dylan E. Morris (Timbra). She was also cherished by 16 great grandchildren, and cousins, nieces, nephews and many great friends.
