She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Hypes and Ollie Delray Asbury Hypes; her husband Alvin Heath Necessary, Sr.; her son Alvin Heath Necessary, Jr.; and her siblings, Mary Elizabeth McGinnis, Della Ruth Osborne, Lois Harman and Howard Kenneth Hypes.
She is survived by: her nephew Barry Harman of Burke's Garden, Virginia; her granddaughter Josie Dell Ray Harman; her stepgrandchild Shannon Jackson; her great grandchildren, Katie, Emma and Alex; and her stepgreat-granddaughter Shana.
