He was predeceased by: his parent George Edward Bowden; and his siblings, Gladys Dise, Joyce Pruitt and Johnny Bowden. He is survived by: his spouse Betty Howard Bowden; his parent Coreen Crockett Bowden; his children, Diana Johnson (Carl) of Greenfield, NH, Marilyn Pruitt (Jeff) of Tangier and Don Bowden (Jennifer) of Tangier; his sisters, Allene Gordy and Jeanette Crockett (Allen); and his grandchildren, Corinne Pruitt, Jill Pruitt, Abigail Johnson, Elijah Johnson and Piper Bowden. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
