He is survived by: his wife Lisa Carmen Bandy Lawson of Honaker, VA.; his siblings, Hubert Leslie Lawson (Brenda) of Raven, VA, Brian Keith Lawson (Samantha Garrett) of Raven, Brenda Carol Taylor (Larry) of North Tazewell, VA, Rita Griffith (Russell) of Raven, VA, Patricia Steele (late Jack) of Swords Creek, VA and Lesia Lawson-Oliver (David) of Raven, VA.; his stepchildren, James Hale (Kristin Symonds) of Martinsville, VA and Katie Blankenship (Russell) of Pilot Mountain; his nieces and nephews, Scott Compton (Danielle), Russell Griffith Jr. (Keisha), Jason Taylor (Faith), Brock Steele, Brett Steele, Colton Lawson, Monica Fleming (James) and Christina Griffith; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Corey Compton (Meagan), Logan Fleming, Kayla Rife (Shane), Cassidy Fleming and Emily Griffith; and also, Gavin, JJ Taylor, Levi, Mason Compton, Jensen Rife, Karlee, Nova Leigh Compton and Avery Taylor.
