He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Mullins and Sophia Burchett Mullins; his siblings, Leonard "Jody" Mullins, Donnie Mullins, Shirley Mullins and Starlette Davis; and his sister-in-law Linda Mullins.

He is survived by: his children, Tiffany Mullins Bryant (Eric) of Rockwell, Rebecca Mullins of Kannapolis and Daniel "Perkins" Mullins of Blountville, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Brady Mullins, Pierceson Lynch, Nathaniel Mullins, Nikkolas Bryant, Erykah Bryant, Liam Fuentes, Annabella Mullins and Scarlett Mullins; his siblings, Rodney Mullins of Galion, Ohio, Judy Osborne (George) of Mansfield and Cassie O'Quinn (Hayes) of Haysi, Virginia; his sister-in-law Carrie Mullins; his niece Shirley Gordon (Jeff) of Marion; and his pet Flash. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
