He is survived by: his wife Velma Sue Dye; his daughter Carey Ellen Dye (Kevin Holman) of Taylorsville; his grandchildren, Ryan Crabtree (Alexis) of Rosedale, Virginia, Jordan Crabtree of Rosedale, Virginia and Jacob Crabtree of Rosedale, Virginia; his great grandchildren, Audree Crabtree of Rosedale, Virginia, Addyson Crabtree of Rosedale, Virginia and Gage Crabtree of Rosedale, Virginia; his stepbrother Jim Conlon of Newcomerstown, Ohio; and his mother-in-law Willa Dellamae Wilson of Saltville, Virginia. He is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Honaker Funeral Home (4686 Redbud Hwy, Honaker, VA 24260). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
