It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lina Smith Bell of Swoope, Virginia, born in Staunton, Virginia, who passed away on January 13, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, David A. Smith and Julia Ann Carter Smith. She is survived by: her husband Richard L. Bell; her children, Julia (Roger), Joyce (Wilbert), LaShaunda Roberson, Richard, Darren, David, Michael, Antoine and Christopher Roberson; her grandchild Forty; and her friends, Shirley Rhodes and June Brown. She is also survived by her Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchild and she was a Foster Mother for over 20 years, Forty-Six Great-Grandchildren, One Great-Great Grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
