It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James David Ruleman of Swoope, Virginia, born in Staunton, Virginia, who passed away on September 9, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Adam and Lucille Ruleman (Long) of Virginia; his daughter Karen Alice Ruleman; and his siblings, Nancy R. Crenshaw and Billy D. Ruleman.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ella Ruleman (Callison) of Swoope; his children, Lesley Strother (Donald) of Churchville and William "Willie" Alan Ruleman of Swoope; his siblings, Larry Ruleman (Carolyn) of Mt. Solon, Tommy Ruleman (Peggy) of Deerfield, Wesley Ruleman (Ruby) of West Augusta and Alice R. Vines of Staunton; his siblings-in-law, Davey Callison (Sarah) of Staunton and Debbie Armstrong (Roger) of Staunton; and his grandchildren, Bianca Lea Castillo of Churchville, Donald "DJ" Strother, Jr. of Churchville, Allison Michelle Ruleman of Staunton, Ashley Katherine Ruleman of Staunton and Virginia "Jenna" Elizabeth Ruleman of Staunton.
