He was predeceased by: his parents, Granville Frye Puffenbarger and Minnie Susan Puffenbarger (Eckard); and his siblings, Virginia Armstrong, Neva McCray, Grace Simmons, Cleo Carroll, Granville "Sterl" Puffenbarger and Elvin "Bill" Puffenbarger.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Lee Vandevander Puffenbarger; his daughter Amy Susan Puffenbarger Bowers (Rodney) of Swoope; his sister Myrtle Anderson of Hampton; and his grandsons, Colin and Bennett Bowers.
Mask-wearing and social-distancing protocols will be observed at the service according to current COVID-19 guidelines.
