He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia "Bea" Smith Norton and Cleve Herman Norton; and his half-sisters, Beulah Talbott and Maude "Jackie" Markham. He is survived by: his wife Dale Hawker Norton; his sons, Roy Norton Jr. (Lesley) and Daniel Norton; his sister Shirley "Sally" McCann; and his grandchildren, Avery Norton, Blake Norton, Riley Tucker and Avery Tucker.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Old Mill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery (12341 Kentuck Rd, Sutherlin, VA 24594).
