He was predeceased by: his wife Hattie Mae Spooner; and his parents, Roland F. Spooner, Sr. and Grace G. Darmofal (Stanley). He is survived by: his children, Roland F. Spooner, III, Sheryl A. Miller (Holmes "Joe"), Kurt Spooner (Cathy), Lorna K. Trevor (David), Thomas Salisbury and Sheila Basham; and his sister Janice M. Knight. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
