He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Irvin Slayton, Sr. and Martha "Pat" Gleaton Slayton; and his brother Claude I. Slayton, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Davis Slayton; his sisters, Carmen Nuckles Collins (Jerry) and Patricia S. Blevins (John); and his sister-in-law Sharon Slayton.
