We are sad to announce that on September 1, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Polly Brooks Adkins (Sutherlin, Virginia). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Morgan Bennet Brooks and Julia Alice Pierce Brooks; and her siblings, Hazel Sparrow, Posie and Raleigh.
She is survived by: her former husband James Bruce Adkins; her husband JB; her sister Alice Strader; and her daughters, Julia Burchett (Johnny), Debra Bass (Teddy) and Kia Hawker (Troy). She is also survived by five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
They would like to thank their friends and their community for their support through the final weeks of Polly's decline, and request that donations be made to Laurel Grove Volunteer Fire and Rescue or St. Jude's Children's Hospital in lieu of flowers.
