It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Guy R. Nuckles Jr. (Sutherlin, Virginia), born in Amherst, Virginia, who passed away on September 4, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Rice Nuckles, Sr. and Margaret Staton Nuckles; his siblings, Bobby Nuckles, Mary Parsons and Ann Ferguson (Roy); and his niece Stephanie Ferguson.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Taylor; his children, Jeffery Nuckles of Sutherlin, VA, Curtis Nuckles of Sutherlin, VA, Donald Nuckles (Kathy) of Sutherlin, VA, Melissa Stewart (Michael) of Sutherlin, VA and David Nuckles of Sutherlin, VA; his brother Jimmy Nuckles (Barbara) of Sutherlin, VA.; his grandchildren, Jenny Nuckles, Haley Milam, Brittany Johnson, Jacob Stewart, Brandon Stewart, Riley Nuckles, Nolan Nuckles, Ava Nuckles, Jadyn Nuckles, Madison Nuckles and Maci Nuckles; his great grandchildren, Trevor Vernon, Sophie Osborne and Olivia Crumpton; and his close friends, Garland Buckner, Sam Carter and J. B. Adkins. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
