He is survived by: his wife Juanita L. Massengill; his son Alan W. Massengill (Patty Massengill); his grandchildren, A. Wesley Massengill and Lori M. Massengill (Jonathan P. Corrigan Jr.); his son W. Kevin Massengill (Courtney W. Massengill); his grandsons, Colby G. Massengill, W. Chase Massengill and Colton W. Taylor (Samatha Taylor); and his great grandchild Trinity L. Taylor. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ocran United Methodist Church (20221 Cox Rd, Sutherland, VA 23885). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Sutherland Ruritan Club P.O. Box 57 Sutherland, VA 23885, continuing Gerald's lifelong mission of service to others.
