He was predeceased by: his father Granvil H. Brandon. He is survived by: his mother Brenda L. Brandon of Wilsons, VA; his wife Mary Alice Brandon; his daughter Taylor L. Brandon of Rye; his stepchildren, Ashleigh Clark (Luis) of Colonial Heights and Jackson Clark of Denver; his sister Cammi Brandon Brito (Russell); and his niece Ansley of Tucson, Arizona. He is also survived by four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI).

“Our hearts go out to your families! We will forever treasure his memory and friendship! Mark and I worked together in Colonial Heights. He would always come in with a different wave every morning! I told him not to be flashing "gang signs " at me, and we both laughed! That started it! We both had to come up with with a new one most every day! He was a great guy!! He will be forever missed!”
