He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac Gilliam Jr. and Susie Cargill Gilliam; and his brothers, Willie and Eddie Gilliam. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Taylor Gilliam; his daughters, Karen and Nicole Gilliam; his siblings, James Isaac Gilliam (Diane), Susie Ann Gilliam Clarke of Waverly, Betty Gilliam Spearman (Jerome) of Naperville and Ellen Gilliam Boone of Waverly, Virginia; and his sisters-in-law, Maggie Taylor Meekins of Richmond, Earline Taylor Johnson (George Johnson) of Jarratt and Star Dillard Gilliam of Waverly, Virginia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
