He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Earle and Mary Martin Wilson; and his brother-in-law Onnie Woodruff. He is survived by: his siblings, Brenda W. Woodruff, David Wilson (Becky), Tommy Wilson (Belynda) and Loretta W. Hellyer (Jesse); his nephews, Ken Woodruff, Trent Wilson, Quinton and Martin Hellyer; and his niece Lisa Matthews. He is also survived by six great nieces, 2 great nephews, one great-great nephew, and numerous cousins.
