It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Lorine Gilliam Reed of Sussex, Virginia, who passed away on March 9, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Wilson Gilliam; her husband Richard Edward Reed; her daughter Mamie E. Reed; her grandson Deron E. Reed; and her brothers, Woodrow "Gee", Jesse and George "Nat" Gilliam.

She is survived by: her siblings, Larry Gilliam of Richmond, VA, Montaque (Gilliam) and Dorothy Gilliam of District Heights, MD; her nieces and nephews, Caitlyn Gilliam, Laura Reed, Taneca Taylor, Patricia Moore, Shelia Kelley, Michelle Reynolds, Kim Boone, Aaron, Tyron, Shun, Adrian Gilliam, Bobby Reed, Samuel, Joseph and Michael Rose; and her sisters-in-law, Inez Gilliam and Essie Westbrook.
