He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Phyllis Blair Skelton; his wife Susan Hines Skelton; his children, Richard P. Skelton, Jr., Amy Poland (Joe), Heather Lee and Thomas E. Lee, II; his grandchildren, Matthew Lee, Brandon Poland, Alexis Poland, Connor Poland, Sebastian Lee, Thomas Lee III and Jessica Skelton; and his siblings, Karen Rumsey (Jerry), Carol Pascuzzo, Linda Herrington, Billy Skelton (Cindy) and Steven Skelton. He was also cherished by friends, and his canine companions.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Rick's name to the Kempsville Volunteer Rescue Squad or to Albert G. Horton, Jr.
