He is survived by: his friend Daddy; his children, Papa, Zelma Williams of Smithfield, VA., Bernita Brown of Smithfield, VA., Grace Hamlin of Smithfield, VA., Frances Mutts (David) of Smithfield, VA., Lisa Newby (Joseph) of Smithfield, VA., Daphne Parker, Kimberly Hardy-Savage, Walter N. Hardy, Jr. and Thomas Hardy (Jamila); his siblings, Thomas S. Hardy (Gladys) of Surry, VA, Sarah Jean Walden of Suffolk, VA and Florease Minnis (Ralph); his siblings-in-law, Alfred Godwin of Surry, VA, Dennis Savedge, Jean S. Lane and Janice Savedge; and his grandchildren, Domonique, Jay, Jr., Andre, Olivia, Aaron, Austin and Thomas, Jr.. He is also survived by great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
