It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Catherine Spiers (Surry, Virginia), who passed away on November 19, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Howard Ogle and Lizzie Jewell Braswell Ogle; her husband Walter Whitney Spiers, Jr.; and her son Walter Eugene Spiers. She is survived by: her children, Janice Carol Spiers, Linda Joyce Spiers, Howard Lee Spiers (Celeste) and Alfred Lee Spiers. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the Surry Volunteer Fire Department or the Surry Volunteer Rescue Squad.
