She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Ruth Odell Slate and Otis Lee Slate; and her nephew Joshua Bowman. She is survived by: her husband Claude Elbert Montgomery Jr.; her son Justin True (Katie); her grandchildren, Gabriella, Julian True and Delaney Crotts; her daughter Jennifer True Roper (Steven); her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Steven II, Nathaniel and Alexander Roper; her children, McKenzie, Annabelle and Zeland True; her siblings, Missy Martin (Tim) and Ronny Slate (Tina); and her sisters-in-law, Donna and Tina True.
