He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Gabriel Key and Nina Terrell Key; his wife Della Maye Stanley Key; his grandson Gabriel Wayne Key; and his siblings, Alma Danley, Myrtle May Danley, Opal Edmonds and James Key.
He is survived by: his son Larry; his daughter-in-law Nina Key (Liz); his grandson Jayme Key; and his stepgrandson Jeremy Wilder.
Due to health concerns the family respectfully ask attendants to wear mask.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
