He was predeceased by: his parents, Iveris Galyean and Grace Smith Galyean; his wife Eva Stanley Galyean; and his sister Wilma Walker. He is survived by: his son Kenneth Dale Galyean; his friends, Tina, Robin Edwards and Gene Easter; his grandchildren, Macey Edwards and Hunter Edwards; his siblings, Verna Lowe and Darrell; and his sister-in-law Ruby Galyean.
