He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas Henry Cordle; his siblings, Lindsay "Sonny" Monroe Cordle and Norma Jean Cordle Silcox; and his grandson Chase Adam Gray. He is survived by: his parent Roberta Frances Dugger Cordle.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christians Appalachians Project, P.O. Box 55911, Lexington Kentucky, 40555.
