He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Monkus and Ella Blevins Monkus; and his brothers, Clyde Moncus and Noah Moncus. He is survived by: his wife Evalee Johnson Monkus; his children, Diane (Gary Hodgin), Jeraldine (Jimmy Quesinberry), Tammy Trent and Danny Monkus; his grandchildren, Amy Holt, Corey Quesinberry, Brandon Mayes, Bryson Mayes, Cole Trent, Heath Atkins and Andrew Hodgin; his great grandchildren, Brayden Holt, Caleb Holt, Gracie Quesinberry, Hunter Quesinberry, Blake Mayes, Aries Byrd and Ryker Hodgin; his close friend Wayne Edmonds; and his brother Ray Wilson.
