He was predeceased by: his parents, Wiley Braxton Hamlin and Virginia Coe Hamlin; his siblings, Dillard Hamlin, Gaither Hamlin, John Allen Hamlin, Spencer Hamlin, S. C. Hamlin, Peggy Driver, Polly Wilmoth and Kathy Hamlin; and his siblings-in-law, Janie Hamlin, Rick Shores and R. J. White.
He is survived by: his wife Libby White Hamlin; his daughter Tricia; his son-in-law Craig Gambill of Winston-Salem; his siblings, Folger Hamlin of Dobson and Gloria Driver (C. W.) of Boonville; and his siblings-in-law, Terry White (Beth) of Dobson, Pat Shores of Thurmond and Robin White of Dobson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
