He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sykes and Elsie Mosley Sykes; his brother Charles Sykes, Jr.; and his son Dennis Sykes. He is survived by: his children, Annette Sykes White and Gerald; his daughters-in-law, Lori Sykes and Melissa Sykes; his siblings, Mary Lou (Wade Johnson), Tina (Harold Mooney) and Rayburn; his sister-in-law Geraldine Sykes; his siblings, David Sykes and Pam Sykes; his grandchildren, Dennis Willis (Julie), Ashley McKnight, Andrea Sykes, Jacob White, Jordan and Austin Sykes; and his great grandchildren, Kam McKnight, Summer and Taylor Cummings. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and a host of special neighbors and friends.
