He is survived by: his niece Barbara Jean Reece; his daughter Kay; his son-in-law Joe Greene; his sons, Bruce Childress and Kenneth Childress; his grandchildren, Rodney Bledsoe, Jonathan, Chenoa Bledsoe, Allan, Leona Childress, Cassie, Chris Pike and Kendall Childress; his great grandchildren, Chloe Childress of Isaac Bledsoe, A. C, Pike, Lilly Childress and Addie Childress; his daughters-in-law, Vickie Lynch and Cindy Hitchings; and his close friend Larry Joe Chaney.
