He was predeceased by: his parents, Dillard Loflen and Jettie Moody Loflen; his wife Martha Monroe Loflen; his brother Lester Loflen (Buck); and his sister-in-law Kathryn Loflen.
He is survived by: his daughter Harriet; his son-in-law Mike Ables; his granddaughter Heather Ables Bernstein (Gregory); and his great grandchildren, Grayson Cole Berstein and Violet Mara Bernstein.
