It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dicie Jane Ring O'Neal (Surry, Virginia), who passed away on December 30, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ring and Eulalia Radford Ring; her husband Chester Franklin O'Neal; her siblings, Rachel McMillian, Claire Mears, Ila Gunnell, Dorothy Tate, Ernest Ring, Emery Ring and Delbert Ring; her grandson Michael Cain; and her great grandchildren, Cheyanne Cain and Abbagail Cain.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara O'Neal Cain (Roy), Kathy O'Neal Robertson (Ronnie), Cliff O'Neal (Susan) and Dennis O'Neal (Tammy); her grandchildren, Mary Cain, Jacob O'Neal, Julie O'Neal, Tracy O'Neal, Lynn O'Neal, Daniel Robertson (Annette), Hannah Robertson (Shawn), Sharon Robertson (Kevin), Amy Belton (Jerome), Nathan Robertson and Brandon O'Neal (Jennie); her sisters, Maude O'Neal and Ruth McMillian; and her close friend Ed Beasley. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
