With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernie Edward Dawson of Sumerduck, Virginia, who passed away on May 12, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Joe Dawson, James Dawson, Wes Dawson, Josie Gough, Lucy Dawson and Becky Lomax; his son Stanley Dawson; his parents, Hayward Dawson and Grace Dawson; his grandson Larry Dawson Jr.; and his great grandchild Ja'Marion Dawson.
He is survived by: his wife Georgia Furr Dawson; and his children, Larry Dawson (Fran) of Front Royal, David Dawson (Darlene) of Orange and Janet Caplinger (Bobby) of Sumerduck. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
