He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Godwin and Caroline Godwin. He is survived by: his wife Donna Wade Godwin; his children, Tammy Costello (James) and Jimmy Godwin, Jr. (Kelly); and his grandchildren, Chelsea Todd (Tyler) and Nate Costello (Makayla). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren, his siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews.
