He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Barber and Bertha Barber; and his siblings, Maurice Barber, Jr., William Barber and Naomi Dodd.
He is survived by: his wife Sally L. Barber; his daughter Susan B. Hicks (Michael) of Sumerduck, VA; his grandchildren, Sallie Swain (Brian) of Sumerduck and Carlin Schumann (Crystal) of Stafford, VA; his sisters, Bessie Powell and Vera Smith; and his great grandchildren, Owen, Mallory, Dylan and Kenadee. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
