He was predeceased by: his grandmother Bertha M. Campbell; and his father James Walter Ashby. He is survived by: his close friend Lowell Carpenter; his mother Rebecca Jane Ashby; his children, Chris Ashby and Cody Ashby; his siblings, James, Adam Ashby, Amy Colgate, Becky Ashby and Elizabeth Parks; and his pet Gabriel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
