She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Duty and Matilda Deel Duty; her husband Robert Lee Powers; and her sons, Ernest Leon Powers, Jerry Wayne Powers and Tivis Charlie "Carly" Powers.
She is survived by: her children, Rita Sue Snyder (Brian) and Tommy Carl Powers (Marylyn); her grandchildren, Michelle Roark, Ernest Leon Powers, Jr., Beverly Carter, Tammy Peterson and Tommy Carl Powers, Jr.; her niece Narcie Blankenship; her close friend Brenda Jackson; and her daughters-in-law, Ruby Powers and Elane Powers. She is also survived by six great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 1000 Alhambra Dr., Chattanooga, TN 37421.
