It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Baker (Sugar Grove, Virginia), who passed away on March 24, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Henry Baker and Maxie Donahue Baker; his stepmother Reva Baker; his siblings, Jack Baker and Loretta Scarberry; and his son-in-law Jim Braddock.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Baker; his children, Melody Hensley (Lester) of Fall Branch, TN and Jack Baker (Shirley) of Greenville; his stepdaughters, Karen Braddock of Florida and Heather Cooke of Florida; his sister Constance Smith; and his half-siblings, Melanie Peters (Hugh), Betsy McConnell, Donnie, Russell and Robert Baker. He is also survived by three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
