She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Nichols and Alice Keatley Nichols; and her siblings, Sam Nichols Jr., Evelyn Oiler, Susie Lively and Howard Roland Pennington.
She is survived by: her siblings, Betty Nichols of Montgomery, Darrel Nichols (Sue) of Montgomery, Joe Nichols (Jeanette) of Illinois, Emma Pennington of Pea Ridge, WV and Leonard Nichols (Patricia) of Smithers; her children, Linda Bailey of Gastonia, NC, Howard Pennington of Kannapolis, NC, Janet Bensler of Salisbury, NC, Patti Adkins (Shane) of Lake Wales and Everette Pennington of Camp, VA; her grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson, Wanda Smyth, Madeline Pennington, Jessica Pennington, Jimmy Parker, Steve Bensler, Jacob Bensler and Nicholas Bensler; and her great grandchild Matt Johnson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
