He was predeceased by : his parents, Ruth C. Jean, and William N. Jean, Sr.; and his siblings, Thomas Jean, Sr., Louis Jean, Gerald Jean, Sr. and Mildred Jean Sivertson.

He is survived by : his sister Linda Mears; and his sisters-in-law, Dora Jean, Lola Jean and Edith Jean. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
