She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Odell Hobbs and Susie Estelle Asbell Hobbs; her husband Robert P. Higgins; and her siblings, Robert O. Hobbs, Johnnie F. Hobbs, Roberta Hobbs Jordan, Kathleen Hobbs Martineau and Brenda Hobbs McLaughlin.
She is survived by: her son Steven Preston Higgins (Karla); her siblings, Annie Hobbs Hobbs of Hobbsville, NC and Winston Carroll Hobbs, Sr. (Carolyn); her granddaughter Anja Higgins Rouse (Zachary); and her great grandchildren, Orri Preston Rouse of River Ridge, LA and Annika Viola Rouse of River Ridge, LA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
